The Heart of Texas Daylily Society was organized in 1969 in Brownwood, Texas.
The newly organized Society elected its first panel of permanent officers at its June 6th meeting. Malcolm Collie was selected as its President; Mrs. Preston Barker was made Secretary-Treasurer; and Mrs. Pyrtle Garrison was the Society's Reporter.
